MBA Admission

The following national level entrance exam results are accepted by Madras University Distance Education (IDE) for admissions-

IIMs administer the Common Admission Test, or CAT.
AIMA administers the Management Aptitude Test (MAT).
CMAT stands for the AICTE's Common Management Admission Test.
XLRI Jamshedpur's Xavier Aptitude Test, or XAT for short.
AIMS Test for Management Admission, or ATMA.
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is known as TANCET.
 Madras University IDE accepts valid GMAT results for MBA admission.

In general, the cutoff percentiles for CAT/XAT, CMAT/ATMA, and MAT exams are approximately 70-80%ile, 65-80%ile, and 55-60%ile, respectively.

Applications for the MBA programme at Madras University Distance Education are accepted from candidates who have taken the relevant national level test and meet the required cut-off.

7. WBJEE - West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board
8. NMAT - Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test
9. KMAT - Karnataka Management Aptitude Test
10. JEMAT - Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test
11. TISSNET - Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test.

In addition to these,  Techno India University takes into account the results of its own Techno National Level Test when admitting students for MBA programs.

Admission to MBA programmes is determined by state-level entrance tests such as the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET). Applications from overseas candidates may be evaluated using the National Law Aptitude Test (NLAT), the GMAT, the GRE, the SAT, and other tests.

• To be eligible for admission to the MBA programme at MSU, you must have:- 

1. Completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
2. Secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category students) in the qualifying examination.
   Qualified in the Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or any other recognised entrance examination for admission to MBA programs.

Vidyavardhini College of Engineering and Technology (VCET) accepts entrance exam scores from the MAH MBA CET and JEE Mains for MBA admission. Candidates must appear and qualify for the MAH MBA CET, and then register for the MAH MBA CET counseling. 

VCET also offers admissions to undergraduate engineering programs based on entrance exam scores. For example, candidates must qualify in the MHT-CET conducted by DTE, Maharashtra to be admitted to the FY B.E. program. 

 The overall cutoff for MHT-CET is 28.92–36.03 percentile.
