With an NMAT score of 209 (QA: 62, LR: 63, English: 84), here's how your chances look:

 NMIMS (Mumbai & Other Campuses)

  • NMIMS Mumbai (Flagship MBA):
    • Typical cutoff is 235–250+.
    • At 209, admission to Mumbai campus is unlikely.
  • NMIMS Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Indore, Dhule:
    • Cutoffs are lower (200–210+ range).
    • You have a realistic chance at these campuses, especially Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

 TAPMI (Manipal)

  • Accepts NMAT, CAT, XAT, GMAT.
  • Cutoff is usually 80+ percentile in CAT/XAT or 210+ NMAT.
  • With 209, you are borderline but competitive. Strong profile (academics, work ex, GD/PI) can help secure admission.

With 239 marks (96.63 percentile) in CMAT, plus excellent academics (91.52% in X, 93.33% in XII, 93.33% in UG) and 24 months of work experience, you are in a very strong position for calls from top CMAT-accepting institutes.

Institutes You Can Expect Calls From

  • JBIMS (Jamnalal Bajaj, Mumbai) – Cutoff is usually 99.9+ percentile, so CMAT won't work here. JBIMS accepts MAH CET/CAT for All India seats, not CMAT.
  • SIMSREE (Sydenham, Mumbai) – Similar to JBIMS, cutoff is 99+ percentile in CET. CMAT route not available.
  • KJ Somaiya, Mumbai – Accepts CMAT, but cutoff is 97–99 percentile. You are competitive here.

The MAH MBA CET cutoff is calculated based on your percentile score, not raw marks. Your raw score is normalized across exam sessions to account for difficulty variations, then converted into a percentile that shows how you rank among all test-takers. The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) uses these percentiles to prepare merit lists and allot seats in MBA/MMS colleges in Maharashtra.

How the Cutoff is Calculated

  1. Raw Score

    • Total marks obtained in all four sections (Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability).
    • Maximum marks: 200.
  2. Normalization Process

    • Since CET is conducted in multiple slots, difficul

At GIBS, our reservation policy differs significantly from that of government colleges.

Reservation Process for CAT and MAT Candidates

  • At GIBS, we do not follow an established reservation system (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) as part of our admission process.
  • Additionally, GIBS does not allocate a separate number of seats to candidates based on CAT or MAT category.

How Admissions Work

GIBS uses a merit-based admission process in which all qualified applicants are evaluated for admission based on different criteria:

  • Entrance Exam Score (CAT/MAT/Other Exams)
  • Academic Record
  • Group Discussion/GD
  • Personal Interview/PI
  • Total Profile & Communication Skills

Yes — the IBSAT cutoff does change every year.

 Why the IBSAT Cutoff Varies

  • Exam Difficulty: If the paper is tougher, the cutoff percentile may be lower; if easier, higher.
  • Number of Applicants: More applicants competing for limited seats can push the cutoff up.
  • Seat Availability: Each ICFAI Business School campus has different intake capacity, which affects campus‑wise cutoffs.
  • Past Placement Trends: Campuses with stronger placements (like IBS Hyderabad) usually have higher cutoffs compared to smaller campuses.

 Typical Cutoff Range

  • IBS Hyderabad: 70–75 percentile (the highest among IBS campuses).
  • IBS Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune, Ba
