The minimum academic criteria for MBA admission through CMAT is minimum 50% in graduation for General category students and minimum 45% for SC/ST/PwD category students. Even though this eligibility criteria is not mandatory for CMAT, it is the basic requirement for full time MBA as per the AICTE regulations.

No, Adichunchanagiri University does not conduct a separate institutional-level entrance test for MBA admission. Instead, it relies on national and state-level exams such as CAT, K-MAT, and PGCET for shortlisting candidates. This means applicants must first qualify in one of these exams and then apply to the university using their valid scorecard. Students should keep track of the exam schedules for all of the accepted entrance tests. This ensures candidates have multiple options to secure a seat in the MBA programme.

For aspirants applying through CAT, the timeline is generally consistent every year. The CAT official notification is usually released around July, followed by the application window opening in August. Registrations remain open until September, after which candidates can download their admit cards in November. The CAT exam is also conducted in November. Results are typically announced in January of the following year. Candidates planning to apply to Adichunchanagiri University must align their MBA application with this schedule and keep their CAT scorecard ready at the time of registration.

With an IPU CET MBA rank of 757, your chances of getting into MAIT are really, really slim—MAIT's 2025 Round 1 cutoff for MBA was between 294–727 across all categories, so you're just outside that sweet zone. To improve your shot, keep MAIT as a high preference during counselling, stay active for spot rounds or mop-up rounds, and be ready with documents and fees to grab any late openings.
