During PGP summer placements 2023-25, Sales and Marketing emerged as the most preferred domain with 46% of offers attracted. The second domain attracting a good percentage of offers was Consulting and Strategy. The consulting sector had the highest share which stood at 30%. The domain-wise placements recorded at IIM Shillong are presented below:

As per the records, 147 companies participated in the 2025-26 PGP placements. This included 51 new recruiters. Earlier, 141 companies were part of PGP placements 2025 and 54 new recruiters were witnessed. The IIM Shillong highest package offered during the 2026 PGP placements was in the IT and Analytics domain. This was followed by the Consulting & Strategy domain with the highest package of INR 46.87 LPA.
