Reputed colleges listed in rankings and official counselling lists are NMC (formerly MCI) approved. This approval is mandatory for a college to legally admit MBBS students. Students should always verify a college's current NMC status before applying. Approval status can occasionally change, so checking the latest list matters. Admission through NEET counselling is usually the safest sign that a college is approved.

Yes, quite a few private colleges in Bhopal run attached hospitals with 1,000-plus beds. This gives students real, hands-on clinical exposure from early years. Bigger hospitals also mean more patient variety for practical learning. It is one reason some private colleges remain popular despite the high fees. Hospital size is often used as a selling point by such colleges.

AIIMS Bhopal is by far the hardest to get into in the city. Its cutoff rank of around 500 to 650 (general category) is extremely competitive on an All India level. It pulls applicants from every state, not just Madhya Pradesh. The limited seat count makes the race even tighter. For most students, cracking AIIMS Bhopal means being in the top fraction of NEET candidates nationally.

Yes, NEET UG is compulsory for any MBBS admission in India, including Bhopal. There is no other entrance exam or backdoor route allowed legally. After NEET, admission happens either via AIIMS-specific counselling or MP state counselling. Management quota seats also require a valid NEET score first. So no student can skip NEET, regardless of the college type.
