To be eligible for admission, students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognized board of secondary education. 

Candidates can apply for the NEET-UG examination conducted by NTA to take admission in the MBBS course. For postgraduate courses, candidates can apply online through the official website of NEET-PG conducted by NBE. 

Admission is based on merit in the entrance test. 

• Placements are average in this college. We can do private practice after MBBS course.
• All our course students get internships after completing 4 years. Students have to do a 1-year mandatory internship. After the internship, our college offers a house staff ship programme in different departments of a hospital.
• he Calcutta National Medical College gives admission to a total of 250 students in the MBBS course through AQI and SQ. After passing the MBBS, they are eligible to appear for the posts like a medical officer and RMO in public or private health care.
• Around 250 students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Dams, Marrow, Prepladder, and eGurukul. Almost 90% of students got internships from our course. The role offered was general physician.
• Most of the students get selected for Housestaffship and rest apply for General duty reserve medical officer and prepare for post graduation. Everyone got internship in our college. During internship they got 29000 stiped and housestaffship is 45000.

The fees is less compared to the other colleges for medical Sciences. The admissions for the Medical college of Kolkata is based on the NEET-UG and NEET-PG examination. The same course is offered for 11 Lacs by the Dayanand Medical college and hospital.  This is because the Dayanand Medical college is a private organization. Whereas the Medical college of Kolkata is a government organization.  The fee for other courses provided by the Dayanand Medical college is also high. But the syllabus and curriculum is similar for both the colleges

When we take the placements in regard, since the Medical college, Kolkata is run by the government, almost all students get placements in the government medical organizations. There is no need for a company to recruit the students. But the Dayanand Medical College is a Private Hospital, therefore the students have to go through the process of the placements and not many students get placed.
