Hi,
With 54% marks, you won't get any good college. First of all you apply for a reappear and if your aim is only getting B.Tech degree you can take admission in Chandigarh University. Last year they were selling seats of B.Tech for Rs.10000. Even the IT companies demand for at least 60% marks in class 12th. All the best for your future.

It is a bit tough, because there is no direct relation with B.Sc computer science and maritime skills. If the age and fitness factors are in compliance, you may be lucky. To check the detailed criteria, please see here-

Hi buddy,
To work on an oil rig both onshore and offshore, you'll need a high school Diploma and specialised training. Training can consist of both field and classroom instruction to familiarize you with oil rig equipment and teach you specific skills.
I hope it helps!

Yes, you can go for merchant navy after class 10th. But, if you are married, you should not opt for merchant navy job, as it is not a permanent job. You can be fired any time. Merchant navy is a private job and the age criteria is between 17 years to 21 years.

It's better to go with B.Sc. Nautical Science degree as it is of more importance. B.Sc. In Nautical Science is a 3-year undergraduate course which is split into 6 semesters. Each year consists of 2 semesters and contains a thoroughly practical approach to all the concepts of Nautical Technology.
Thanks.

The admission procedure for B.Sc. In Nautical Science is not as simplistic as other undergraduate courses:
* First thing would be to shortlist a maritime institute or college that matches your location, financial capabilities, and other relevant preferences. * Next step would be to clear the entrance exam (if any) as conducted by the university or college. * The test is followed by a string of medical tests and psychometric examinations to assess the candidate's physical feasibility for the course. * Once the candidate clears all the tests, he or she may need to undergo a brief pre-sea training programme before admission is confirmed.
