MET PGDM is always better than MMS in terms of everything but you will spend entire day on campus. Average package you can get is Rs 5 lakhs pa and intake is 120 students.

PGDM admission is more dependent on GD and PI. I would suggest you to visit the college and inquire about admission form.

Hi Kumar,
I can only speak about your chances at 96.09 percentile for MMS at XIMR. You have a good chance in the open category on the basis of last year's cutoff available on the website. However, cut-offs are basis the number of applicants at high percentiles.
Additionally, basis my understanding, XIMR is a niche, focused, primarily academic-driven institution, whereas, MET is a wholistic developer of managerial skills and indulges in a practical implementation of knowledge. Their batch size is larger than XIMR. This aids targeted knowledge to students of XIMR.
XIMR also provides access to many distinguished faculties from XLRI. JBIMS,

Hi,
Mumbai is always a better option as compared to Pune because of more corporates being present and it being the commercial and financial capital of India. So better internships and placements are there in Mumbai.
a) MITSOT, Pune only specialises in telecom (which as a sector isn't doing too great) so they give very limited industry interface.
b) MET, Mumbai was good till a few years back. However, in the past couple of years, they are facing issues because of the trust problems and placements have also got affected. They have a very large intake which is good for campus life but not so good for education & placement quality. It is l

Good to hear that you got selected at IBS, Mumbai. It's a great institute to learn management and various skills required to work in the corporate environment. As far as MET-Bandra is concerned, it has a good corporate presence with companies that visit every year for placements. You need to compare the fees structure and placement records from the placement cell of IBS Mumbai as you got selected for IBM, Mumbai and others accordingly to see what ROI you would be getting after you get placed. You even need to compare the same track records for MET-Bandra by asking relevant sources like your friends or the students already studying ther

Hello Harshal,
Yes, you can apply to them. However, you have fair chances for the PGDM programs of better colleges like:
1. Welingkar.
2. SIES.
3. NL Dalmia.
You need to ensure that GD and PI goes really well.
Good luck.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, ACCA in MET is worth joining. But, there are exemptions for only 4 papers not 6 that also only if you are B.Com graduate. The placement scenario after completing ACCA, a fresher get a package of around Rs 8 lakhs.
