Within twenty-five minutes, candidates must respond to all four of the Section-B questions. There are four subsections in the last section, or Section C. The selection process for GE and PI is created by taking into consideration - CAT/ XAT/ GMAT and 50 per cent MICAT scores (each component carries 50 per cent weightage). Candidates can check the shortlist status of their GE PI process online on the official website. Candidates have to visit the MICA official website and find the link for GE & PI Shortlist. Then, they have to enter MICA Application Number. After that they have to click on the link that says 'Get Result'. The shortlist status will then appear on the screen.

The MICAT score stays valid for the current academic session only. The scores of MICAT 2024 will not be valid for the next academic year. Neither the MICAT scores from previous year can be used for admission to the 2024-25 session. Thus, the candidates looking for admission in the 2024-25 session have to appear and qualify MICAT 2024. Candidates who wish for admission in 2025-26 admission session must appear for MICAT 2025.

MICA conducts MICAT in two phases. The candidates who appear for both the phases will get 2 separate result. However, MICA considers best of two scores to shortlist candidates for GE-PI. On the MICAT scorecard, candidates will be able to check their names, sectional and overall scores. Approximately, 1/10th of the total number of candidates who appear in both the exams will be shortlisted for GE/PI based on the Total MICAT 2023 scaled score.
