1) Completion of a bachelor's degree
Candidates must possess a degree from an undergraduate institution in the United States with regional accreditation or from a recognised school abroad. For admission purpose, many 3-year bachelor's degrees are recognised as being equivalent to the 4-year bachelor's degree in the United States.

More than 3,500 students are employed on the UW-Milwaukee campus, contributing their skills and enthusiasm to various campus departments and obtaining useful experience. At UWM, undergraduate and graduate students can work part-time jobs in fields, research labs, and offices. In certain rare circumstances, students from other schools may be permitted to work as student employees at UWM.
