This depends upon various factors after getting admission to the Heritage Institute of Management and Communication for its Master of Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) program. The institute, normally, demands each such candidate to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum percentage. Normally, admissions are provided solely based on entrance exams or even interviews held by the institute. While qualifying criteria are comparable, competition may differ. Students are advised to prepare well for entrance tests and interviews for entry to the MJMC.

No prior experience is required to enrol in a MJMC course. However, certain institutions may prefer students with media sector experience, such as working as a journalist or interning at a media company. You can be a competitive applicant even if you have no prior experience by exhibiting your interest in the media sector and your desire to learn.
