Yes, NIFT Kolkata does offer admission to foreign students. NRI students are shortlisted based on their GMAT/ GRE/ SAT scores among other parameters. The institute reserves 5 seats for students applying via NRI/ foreign national category. Students must satisfy the eligibility to get into the institute. The basic eligibility requires candidates to have a Degree/ Certificate from a recognised board/ university and an equivalence certificate obtained from AIU, New Delhi. Yes, NIFT Kolkata offers Certificate/Continuing Education/ Diploma Programme in multiple specialisations. The programme includes, one year, six months, and less than six months duration. To be eligible for the programme, candidates must have a minimum of twelve years of school education and bachelor's degree.

To get admission in NIFT Kolkata, students must clear the admission criteria of the desired programme as precribed by the institute. The institute accepts students based on a valid score in the NIFT Entrance Exam, which includes the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). Students who clear both tests are required to appear for the situation test for the final selection. The institute scrutinises the performance of candidates in the selection rounds to shortlist students. Selected students must pay the admission fees for seat confirmation.

Candidates completed graduation/bachelor's degree from any recognised institute/university are eligible for the NIFT Kolkata MFM programme. At the PG level, NIFT Kolkata offers MFM programme with a duration of two years. Admission is done on the basis of a valid score obtained in GAT, followed by a GD/ PI round.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata accepts NIFT Entrance Exam for admission to the B.Des course. As per NIFT Kolkata cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for B.Des was 632 for the General All India category student. For 2022 and 2021, NIFT Kolkata last round closing ranks stood at 649 and 615, respectively for the B.Des programme.

National Institute of Fashion Technology offers B.Des programme courses of 4 years. It offers both B.Des in Fashion Design and Fashion Communication, B.Des in Fashion Design provides various courses like graphic designing, fashion photography amd journalism etc. B.Des in communication is trending thes days and it is more interestimg and diverse .
Both of these courses are good and different from their own curriculum and the selection between these two courses are depend upon interest area of an individual.
