Candidate should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
- In-service candidates working in central, state and local governments with minimum two to three years of service in the health sector.
- Applicants should have MBBS, BDS or B.Sc in nursing/ health science/ natural sciences or B.A. in social sciences and involved either in:
- Public health activities at community, hospital or district level,
- In directorates of health services, public health or family welfare
- In other health-related organizations

This Institute is affiliated with University of Delhi and it offers MD, PG Diploma, Diploma, and PhD courses at the Postgraduate and Doctoral levels. For admission to PG Diploma admission, candidates need to score in the NEET PG. Candidates with a score in NEET PG are required to register for counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)
In order to become eligible for counseling, the candidate must have obtained a minimum 50 percentile for the general category (40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC (including PWD of SC/ST/OBC) and 45 percentile for UR PWD) in NEET PG and must have degree in MBBS/BDS or BSc in Nursing/Heal
