Don't worry. Admission to the PGDM in NIA is purely based on merit basis. The details you have to fill will help the NIA officials in getting basic info on you. These questions are type questions and will be there in almost all application forms. It will no way affect in Your GD or PI selection. If you have past experience then there will be more questions. In current batch more than 50 % students are with no experience. And almost all the students also don't have any background on Insurance sector. All the best. GD will not be in insurance sector mostly. Prepare well for GD & PI.

The package for freshers and experienced are almost same. Only IT companies differentiate between freshers and experienced. Out of 84 students in the recently placed batch, only 7 students received package less than 6lpa. The future of insurance in India is very bright as it is still an untapped market in India. There is a very huge growth potential for insurance in India.

Last year cut off for General category in CMAT was 80 percentile, NC-OBC - 75, SC/ST - 70. Expected cutoff will also nearer to the last year, though you can take a chance. Graduation 50 percentage is a min. requirement. Best of luck.
