Yes, it is very difficult for Indian students to get into the National University of Singapore due to its acceptance rate which is as low as 5 to 10% only. International students are required to meet the requirements given below for NUS Medicine -

  • Strong grades in 10+2 with Chemistry, Biology and Physics
  • Good performance in the standardized tests
  • Application submission via the NUS online portal
  • English language proficiency

The exams like NEET are basically for practicing here in India, so the National University of Singapore does not really ask for it.

Given below are the guidelines, take a look -

  • If an Indian student wishes to return to India and practice, then NEET is mandatory
  • It is kind of a licensing exam to practice medicine in India.

And the similar is the case with all the years. Another striking thing here is that the ARWU rankings for both universities are getting better with each passing year.

Given below is the comparison given below, take a look -

Both NTU and NUS are world-class universities. NUS (#8) ranks above NTU (#12 globally) in the latest QS Rankings. NTU is stronger for Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science. NUS is better for Arts, Social Sciences, Law, and Business programs.

NTU also has the larger and modern campus. It is also more budget friendly. Howerer NUS Singapore offers better career opportunities for UG students.

Both NTU and NUS are great options. For Engineering programs NTU is better. NUS is better for Business and Humanities.

Primarily, NUS uses a fixed application deadline system for its master's programs. If an applicant has applied for the NUS admissions in the month of February for UG and PG levels for the August intake, then they will receive their offers between late May and July

The offers are made on rolling basis and the decisions are sent via email along with the application status update on the official portal too.
