Yes, the NEET MDS syllabus is similar to the BDS course syllabus. Aspirants planning to appear for the NEET MDS exam must study in lines with the BDS course subjects and topics. Talking about this, NBEMS has stated, "The syllabus for the exam shall be that of BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabus taught during the BDS course as prescribed in the DCI Revised BDS Course Regulations, 2007 as amended from time to time."

While NEET MDS is a major national level entrance exam for admission to MDS courses, it is not the sole or only entrance exam for this course. Apart from NEET MDS, there is another national level entrance exam, INI CET, conducted by AIIMS Delhi, which is the gateway to this course only at the AIIMS colleges in India. Hence, apart from NEET MDS, INI CET is another entrance exam which aspirants can appear for. Moreover, the National Board of Entrance Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the exam conducting body, has also stated that AIIMS institutes do no accept NEET MDS scores.

No, candidates won't be able to get admission to HPU with 700 as the HPU cutoff 2024 in itself is 642 for MDS in Prosthodontics course under General quota, considering the last-round of seat allotment results. However, for OBC AI quota, 700 rank is more than enough to get admission at HPU. The HPU OBC cutoff 2024 stood at 761.

With a NEET MDS 2024 rank of 18,660, your chances of securing a seat depend on the category and the state's counseling criteria. For reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), seats are more likely due to lower cutoff requirements. The qualifying percentile for SC/ST/OBC is 40th, with a cutoff score of 246, compared to 263 for the General/EWS category.
