NIFT Eligibility

Masters in Fashion Management (MFM) is a post graduate level programme offered by National Institute Of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Raebareli to students. Admission criteria for this course is as follows: 

• Candidates must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised educational board and university. 

• Candidates must have qualified their previous examination with an aggregate  of 50 percent.

• Candidates must appear and qualify the national level entrance examination - NIFT.

National Institute Of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Raebareli offers B.Des course to students based on the following criteria: 

• Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission in the course. 

• Candidates must have scored an aggregate of 50 percent marks in their previous examination. 

• Candidates must have English as a compulsory subject during their previous examination.

• Candidates must appear in the national level entrance examination NIFT, which is divided into two parts - CAT and GAT to get admission in B.Des at NIFT Raebareli.

Students can enrol in NIFT Srinagar's two-year Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.) programme at the postgraduate level. Candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline from any college or university recognised by Indian law, or an undergraduate Diploma from NIFT or NID that is at least three years in length, in order to be eligible for admission to the MFM programme at NIFT Srinagar. International applicants for the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) programme should make plans to submit their GMAT results. To be held for the Master of Fashion Management Course is a General Ability Test. Candidates will be contacted for a group discussion and personal interview (GD/PI) based on their GAT results.

To be eligible for MFM programme at NIFT Srinagar candidates must have completed undergraduate degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognised by law in India, Or Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID. For international students, Candidates applying for Master of Fashion Management (MFM) should arrange to send GMAT test scores. The application process involves the following steps

GAT - General Ability Test to be held for Master of Fashion Management Course

On the basis of GAT scores, candidates will be called for Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/PI).

Counselling will be held - weightage of the following:- GAT - 70% GD/PI - 30%

In order to be eligible for admission to design courses at NIFTs, applicants must fulfil the requirements of each programme, which vary depending on factors like age, subject combination, qualifying test, etc. Program-specific eligibility requirements might specify the minimum age, required academic standing, required number of attempts, and other requirements that a candidate must fulfil in order to be admitted. Below are the prerequisites that are fundamental to the courses: 

BDes - Candidate must have completed Class 12 from a recognised board and Must be aged below 24 years

BFTech - Candidate must have completed Class 12 with such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and aged below 24 years

MDes - Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognised university. There is no age limit for this course. 

MFTech - Candidate must have completed BFTech from a recognised university and there is no age limit. 

MFM - Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognised university and no age limit is specified.
