For admission to a BSc course at the NIMS Institute of Management and Commerce, aspirants must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements. The aspirants who are Class 12 or equivalent exam pass from a recognised board are eligible for admission. To pursue a two-year MDes programme at NIMS University at the postgraduate level, you must have completed a Bachelor's Degree of at least 3 years duration and obtained a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination. Admission to MBA course is based on NIMSEE score. NIMSEE is a national level entrance exam which is conducted once a year and the mode of the entrance exam is offline i.e. pen and paper test. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Admission to BDS course is based on NEET or NIMSEE score. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates who have appeared for NEET will be shortlisted as per the NEET Counselling. Candidates must complete Class 12 in relevant subjects with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category) to apply for the BTech course or passed Diploma exam with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category) subject to vacancies in the first year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
