NIMS University is a self-financed university, located in Jaipur, and was established in 2008. It has been recognised by the UGC and offers AICTE-approved courses to students.

The university is accredited by NAAC and has been ranked in the band 151-200 by the NIRF 2025 Ranking under the 'University' category.

Further, the university provides placement opportunities to students in top-notch companies such as TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, Capgemini, Samsung, Adani, Wipro, Tata, HP, etc.

Both NIMS Jaipur and NIMS Noida are well-known institutions for MBBS, but NIMS Jaipur often has an edge due to its larger hospital infrastructure, extensive clinical exposure, and strong academic reputation. It is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and offers comprehensive medical facilities. NIMS Noida, while also good, is relatively newer and may have slightly fewer patient inflows compared to Jaipur. Fees for both institutions are similar, ranging between fifteen to twenty Lacs rupees for the full course. Students should also consider faculty expertise and research opportunities when making their decision.

The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise at NIMS University. Aspirants require scores in entrance exams such as NEET and NEET PG for medical courses. The selection for most of the programmes is based on merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam. Once selected, aspirants need to report at the campus for document verification and fee payment.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 in relevant subjects with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category) are eligible to apply for the BDes programmes at NIMS University. Aspirants should have relevant documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, the selection for BDes programme is based on merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam.
