No, admission to NIT Calicut BTech course is entirely based on merit obtained in JEE Main entrance exam. Candidates can take the test by registering online on the NTA website (nta.ac.in). The students who secure a score greater than or equal to the cutoff marks become eligible for participation in the JoSAA counselling, which is conducted for the final seat allotment.
