CGPA is calculated on the basis of marks obtained you in the particular subject.
Formula to calculate CGPA:-
CGPA= Total Grade Point Obtained/No. of Subjects.
The total grade point obtained is 43, and the number of subjects is 5. Let's deduce the CGPA- CGPA= 43/5 = 8.6 CGPA.
Percentage Score= Total Grade Point of Five Subjects X 9.5.
Percentage Score= 8.6 X 9.5 = 81.7%
This method is used to calculate CGPA in NIT Manipur.

NIT MANIPUR offers CSE, ME, CE, EEE, & ECE for undergrads. And its also famous for its P.hd in chemistry.
Honestly, all the branches are good. Faculty is fine. In college, professors are mostly for guidance. Its all your own efforts that are going bring any difference.
Placement wise, as I have seen the order is
CSE
ME
EE
ECE
DATA Science etc.
I also have seen some particular students changing the above trend. So, all in all, NIT-M is good in all the branches it offers and its on you as of how much you can extract and enhance yourself.

If a student fails in internal exams in engineering, they may have to retake the exam or take additional courses to make up for the failed exam. The specific policies and procedures for handling failed exams can vary between institutions and programs, so it's best to consult with the student's academic advisor or the department chair for more information. It's important for the student to seek support and resources, such as tutoring or academic counseling, to help them succeed in their studies.

No, there has been many instances where some students were ill or had to attend a family wedding etc., in such a case contact your faculty and they will somehow manage you to pass, since 100 marks are divided into attendance, lab assignment, lab performance apart from the lab exam itself, so you would pass easily. During my college days, I never heard of any student getting a year lag for being absent in lab exam.
And as far as failing in lab exam is concerned, its nearly impossible to fail even if you try your level best in Nit Manipur.
Even in another case faculty member will tell you to score more in next internal exam as there are 2
