Candidates seeking admission to the courses offered at NIT Raipur, need to visit the official website of respective national-level entrance exam conducting bodies and fill out the application form in online mode.

• BTech aspiring candidates can apply for the programme on the official website of JEE Main and register for JoSAA counselling.

• For the M.Tech programme, the candidates are required to register on the official website of CCMT. For the rest of the courses, candidates need to register themselves on the official website.

• For MCA admission, candidates need to apply through the NIMCET exam followed by counselling. 

No, the National Institute of Technology Raipur does not offer a part-time M.Tech course at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to the NIT Raipur M.Tech course have to apply for the two-year full-time M.Tech course. NIT Raipur M.Tech admission is completely entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in the GATE, a national-level entrance test for M.Tech admission. 

The National Institute of Technology Raipur admits students to the M.Tech course on the basis of valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores. Based on the entrance test scores, candidates are then called for the CCMT (Centralized Counselling) process for admission to the MCA course.  Students applying for the National Institute of Technology Raipur MCA course must have passed a three-year degree or equivalent degree from a recognised University/Institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% (of all the years) or an equivalent CGPA of 6.5/10. In the case of SC/ST candidates, 55% aggregate marks (of all the years) or an equivalent CGPA of 6.0/10 is the eligibility requirement.

NIMCET 2023 will be conducted by NIT Raipur tentatively in June. A. NIT Raipur BTech admission 2024 is based on candidates' performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Based on the entrance test scores, candidates will be called for the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. To be eligible for the BTech programme the aspiring candidates need to have 75% in class 12.
