MCA programme offered for three years at NIT Trichy. The institute's Department of Computer Applications is in charge of instructing this subject. The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET), which is administered yearly by NITs for admission to MCA courses, is the entrance exam for MCA admission at NIT Trichy. For round 1, the MCA overall cutoff rank for NIMCET is 2658. In addition, on June 8, 2024, the NIMCET 2024 exam will take place. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Trichy has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 1205. In 2023, it increased to 1509. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from
2974 to 429 for OBC
61 to 268 for SC
11355 to 51 for ST
2142 to 241 for EWS
7 to 5 for PWD
This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

NIT Trichy will release 7-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

The JEE Main score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

NIT Trichy JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per NIT Trichy cutoff 2023 forJEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 1509 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 2086 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% marks in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) from a recognized university. Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis.

My friend's younger brother has taken admission in NIT Trichy this year through JEE mains. He got 98 percentile well but I think 95+ percentile will be sufficient for you to take admission there.
