NIT Trichy has top-notch placements offering quite excellent packages. According to some unofficial sources, As of May 22, 2024, the highest package offered at NIT Trichy is estimated to be  INR 52.89 Lakhs per Annum. Official placement reports for the 2024 batch are not available yet. 

You can contact the placement cell or the official website of NIT Trichy to know the exact details. However, the institute is known to offer decent placements.

It is a tough call to choose between NIT Warangal and NIT Trichy for BTech as both are exceptional institutes.

NIT Trichy often edges out NIT Warangal in national rankings. Whereas,  NIT Warangal might have a slight edge in Computer Science Engineering, while NIT Trichy might be stronger in Chemical Engineering. Both the institutes boast excellent placements.

However, the best choice depends on various factors like:

  • Preferred branch: Having a specific programme in mind, can help to know each institute fares in that area.
  • Campus Culture: Consider factors like location and hostel facilities that might influence your experience.

BTech at NIT Trichy is considered as an excellent option. NIT Trichy consistently ranks among the best engineering colleges in India. The curriculum is rigorous and industry-relevant, and is being taught by experienced faculty. NIT Trichy is also known for its Excellent placements. It boasts a stellar placement record, with graduates securing positions at top companies with decent packages. In addition, the institute also fosters a strong research environment.

At NIT Trichy, the highest placement package has changed throughout time. The highest package in the 2023 placement drive was INR 52.89 LPA. The largest package available in 2022 was INR 40 LPA. The pattern indicates that NIT Trichy's top package has increased recently.

For admission in a BTech course at NITT, candidates shall have a valid score of JEE Main. Candidates with a score equal to or more than the cutoff marks further becomes eligible for participation in the JoSAA counselling round. If the seats are left vacant after this round, then those are filled through the CSAB counselling. Candidates who pass Class 12 in Science stream wtih PCM/ PBM subjects are eligible to apply for this course.

The total tuition fee for M.Tech at NIT Surathkal ranges between INR 1.4 Lacs - INR 2.8 Lacs and for NIT Trichy it ranges between INR 1.4 Lacs - INR 3.6 lakh. As per NIRF 2023 rankings, NIT Surathkal was ranked 12th in the “Engineering” category and NIT Trichy is ranked 9th. Moreover, NIT Trichy M.Tech in Communication Systems course is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 genuine verified student while NIT Surathkal same course is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1 student at Shiksha.

Considering the NIRF ranking and fee, NIT Trichy emerges as a better option for the aspirants of M.Tech programme.

No, direct admission for B.Tech programs is not offered by NIT Trichy. Admission to  NIT Trichy's B.Tech programme is by entrance. A valid JEE Main score is required for admission to the B.Tech programme at the institute. To get admitted, a candidate must meet the exam requirements. Candidates who are chosen also must participate in JoSAA counselling. There isn't another admission process.

Candidates seeking admission at NIT Trichy are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. After appearing for the respective entrance exams, candidates have to apply for the counselling process for the final seat allotment.For session 2, JEE Main application form 2024 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2024 from February 2. As you said you're weak in coding, so you should work hard and consistently to strengthen your skills on it. Many of the students doesn't  usually know more regarding coding culture but once they find it familiar, they start developing their skills on it.  However, if you are getting opportunities to get a better option for pursuing the course, you should go for it but if you're interested about pursuing your career in ECE you should definitely go with coding as it has a vast exposure to the tech field.
