NIT Trichy is managed by a transport committee under Dean (Institute Development) with a motto to help staff, students, and administration. NITT has 1 Swaraj Mazda, 4 buses, 1 Indigo Car, 1 Tempo traveler, 1 Bolero, 1 Eicher, 1 Omni and 1 Ambulance. There are shuttle services available for students within campus on working days.

National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli has been ranked 9 under the Engineering category, 51 under the Management category and 8 under the Architecture category, respectively by the NIRF Ranking 2024. NIT Trichy cutoff for the Joint Entrance Examination is out for the year 2024. Candidates must note that JoSAA counselling for this year will be in 5 rounds only.
Here is the category wise cutoff for JoSAA counselling for civil engineering-

The NIT Trichy CSE average package specifics are not yet available. However, the institute has announced the 2022 placement rate for the CSE branch of BTech. During the 2022 placements, 98% of CSE candidates were placed. In 2021, the placement rate for the CSE branch was 98.8%.
