The lowest score needed in each component of the NMAT exam to be qualified for admission to a specific B-school is known as the sectoral cutoff. There are three components on the NMAT exam: Language Proficiency Quantitative Proficiency Reasoning Logically Every B-school has a separate sectional cutoff. A sectional cutoff score may or may not exist for some of the participating institutes. Applicants are not eligible for NMAT-based admissions even if they meet the overall cutoff score but not the sectional cutoff scores.

TAPMI MBA admissions are done based on merit in the qualifying examination. CAT is not the only qualifying examination accepted by the college. TAPMI also accepts XAT, GMAT, and NMAT for making admissions to its MBA courses. Moreover, entrance exam scores are not the sole basis of selection. The college reviews candidates based on their past academic records, personality, and performance in GD and PI.
