NMIMS Hyderabad is generally considered a Tier 2 law school for its BA LLB (Hons). While its parent university (SVKM's NMIMS) is highly reputed and its flagship Mumbai campus is close to top-tier status, the NMIMS Hyderabad campus is relatively newer and is building its placement area compared to Tier 1 National Law Universities (NLUs).

NMIMS Hyderabad is considered a good choice for BTech courses. Its total tuition fee of INR 9 Lakhs for its 4-year full-time BTech programme, which include specialisations like Computer Engineering and Data Science. However, since the engineering wing at the Hyderabad campus is new compared to its flagship management school, student reviews on Shiksha point out that its BTech curriculum and faculty are good but engineering placements are still steadily improving.
