A very good college for those who want to study in Siliguri and get a good package. Placements: In 2022, the highest package was 32LPA which was offered to a CSE student of 2023 pass-out.The college was affiliated to University of Calcutta till 1962. Currently it is affiliated to University of North Bengal.The university also serves as the affiliating body for 50 colleges across Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, and Uttar Dinajpur districts.

The North Bengal University (NBU) offers 2-year full-time MBA program. Candidates having completed bachelor's degree are eligible for application to MBA program. Selection will be as per the merit of CAT/MAT/ATMA/ JMET/ XAT/ WBJEMAT/NBUMAT score. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent from a recognised university. The candidate must have at least two years of work experience at the managerial or executive level. Work experience in part-time mode is not accepted by any MBA institute.

The admission process of North Bengal University varies depending on the course which you are interested in-

  • Admission to BA, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Li.Sc, B.Ed and LL.B courses is granted on the basis of merit-list published by the university with respect to candidates’ marks in their last qualifying examination.
  • MA. M.Sc, MCA, M.Li.Sc and LL.M admissions are offered on the basis of a written test followed by viva-voce conducted by the university.
  • For PG courses,  60% seats of the total are reserved for the candidates who have completed their UG degree from NBU while 40% are for the candidates belonging to the other
