For admission to nursing programmes, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in New Delhi, conducts a nursing exam. The admission test for the nursing programmes B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Post-Basic) and B.Sc. (Paramedical) beyond the MBBS exam is conducted by AIIMS Delhi. Students get admitted to B.Sc. nursing programmes via a two-stage process. The first is via the recently developed AIIMS technique called PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration). The second method involves basic registration, which is followed by final registration and code generation.

Yes, you need to appear for the AIIMS nursing exam separately. AIIMS does not accept NEET UG for nursing courses.
AIIMS conducts separate exams for: MBBS, BSc Nursing, Paramedical courses.
The AIIMS BSc Nursing exam is offered every year. The 2024 exams for BSc (Hons) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing are tentatively scheduled for June.
The minimum cutoff scores for admission to AIIMS for a BSc in nursing are:
  • General category: 55
  • OBC category: 45–50
  • SC/ST category: 30–40
