In India, I think there are only 3 ways to get Dr. prefix before your name. You have to present a thesis/theory/research paper on any of discipline Science/art/history etc. To get a Ph.D. degree from a university after post graduation. Universities facilitate personnel recognizing their contribution in many field such as literature, Science, sports, music, cinema, social service etc. Be a doctor, professional medical practitioner with medical degrees such as MBBS B.A. M. IELTS is your test for English language requirement, you have to see if you meet the academic requirements also most importantly. 6 is not a recommended score for PG studies, you should have atleast 6.5 with no section less than 6.
