The University of Rhode Island ranks among the best institutions in the country. Shiksha Popularity Rankings ranks the institute #102 as part of its the latest country-level rankings.

Further, an unofficial source ranks it #152 as part of its National Universities Rankings 2025, while another ranks it #1001 as part of its the latest World University Rankings.

St George Campus – It is famous to be oldest and most central campus is in Downtown Toronto area.
Mississauga Campus – Campus is located on west of Toronto is known for its world class research environment and being home to largest biotech companies.
Scarborough Campus – The campus is known for being a global leader in research and offers a range of co op programs in more than 45 disciplines.

University of Toronto was founded by the royal charter in the year 1827 as King's College which is the first institution of higher learning in Canada.  It is known to be a collegiate university and comprises 11 colleges along with three campuses in locations such as St George (Downtown Toronto), Mississauga (West Toronto) and Scarborough (Eastern Toronto). The oldest campus of the university is the St George campus.
