Osmania University College for Women was founded in 1924 and has been a constituent college of Osmania University since 1989. It received "Five Stars" accreditation from the NAAC in the first cycle and a "A" grade in the next two cycles. This college offers traditional and self-financing undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programmes in the fields of science, commerce, and the arts. Osmania University college for Women was the British Residency for James Achilles Kirkpatrick from 1798 to 1805. It is sometimes referred to as Hyderabad Residency or Koti Residency. To get admission to Osmania University first a candidate should take an entrance exam of the college TS EAMCET. The result of the exam TS EAMCET score decides the admission criteria. After, clearing the exam check for the merit list on the official website, and after that the candidate should apply for counseling and pay the fees for counseling. Then he/she will be given a time slot for the verification of documents. After a successful verification, he/she will be allowed to choose the respective Programe or course. The College provides in-campus placement as well and also provides ample internship opportunities for the students. The Placement rate of the college lies between 80-82%. Yes there is seat reservation at OUCW. It reserves seats for SC and ST castes students. And also 1st preference is given to them while alloting the seats. Marks and caste of the students is considered while alloting them the seat at OUCW.
