The university has been ranked as the number one private university in India by QS World Rankings. The university has also been granted "Autonomy" by the University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for receiving the “A” Grade from the NAAC. The Jindal School of Art and Architecture is a part of the O.P. Jindal Global University, which is a non-profit global university established by the Government of Haryana and recognized by the UGC. The college offers undergraduate courses such as BArch and BDes across two streams, namely Architecture and Design. The college has globally acclaimed faculty members trained in top universities across the globe. The college has partnerships with different heritage sectors, including International Summer School and International Conferences 2019 with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences.

At Lakehead University, the co-op option programme allows students to earn and learn at the same time. For this purpose, Lakehead University has partnered with over 140 national and international companies, including Blackberry, Bosch, IBM, AECON, Grant Thornton, Bombardier, Canada Revenue Agency, Honda, and more. Usually, students earn anywhere between CAD 16.55 and CAD 30 per hour.
