BTech course is offered in five specialisations at IIT Palakkad: Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Data Science Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Data Science is the new addition to the IIT Palakkad B.Tech programme which was introduced in 2022. The curriculum includes core courses that cover topics such as mathematics, Probability and Statistics computational thinking, data management, modelling and assessment, and ethics, providing a strong foundation in these subjects.

Yes, IIT Palakkad offers a two-year MTech programme in six specialisations. These specialisations are Geotechnical Engineering and Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Manufacturing and Materials Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, Data Science, Power Electronics and Power Systems and System-on-Chip Design. To be eligible for the MTech programme at IIT Palakkad candidates need graduation with 60%. The selection of the candidates who are eligible for the MTech programme happens through GATE and COAP Counselling.

The total tuition fee of MTech at IIT Palakkad is INR 10000 for entire two years although there are other components that might be added to total tuition fee at time of admission. The total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for academic year 2023-24 hence is indicative.

IIT Palakkad admission 2024 is primarily entrance-based. IIT Palakkad offers over 30 courses at UG PG and doctoral levels through 11 departments. The courses include BTech and MTech in Engineering stream. The students are selected based on different national-level entrance tests like JEE Main JEE Advanced GATE etc. Additionally institute also offers PG Certificate courses in Cloud Computing and Cyber Security.
