Yes, punjab University takes admission based on the score on the entrance examination.
The admission will be based on the national common entrance test (NCET) conducted by national testing agency .
Based on the score the students will attend the counselling and admission.

Punjabi University Regional Centre for Information Technology and Management (PURC, Mohali) B.Sc. (Hons.) in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is of 3 years duration. Central University of Punjab offers part-time job opportunity via its “Earn While You Learn" scheme on campus. Candidates who has successfully admitted to the University are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Students who want to apply for the scholarships can fill out the application form available on the official website of the Central University of Punjab. Students who have registered in CUPB for any programme are eligible to apply for the scheme.

Central University of Punjab doesn't offers any direct scholarships to its students. However, students are offered part-time jobs at the university to make them independent under the “Earn While You Learn" scheme. To be eligible candidates must have registered in CUPB for any programme are eligible to apply for the scheme. Some of the part-time jobs students can do under the scheme are as assistants in the library, laboratory, computer centre, and store.
