Qualification (10+2) Examination: Aspirants of NEET 2018 should have completed Class 12th qualifying (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).Admission Process:
Only those candidates who qualify NEET 2018 by scoring minimum required cutoff will be eligible to participate in the MBBS/BDS admission counselling process. To qualify NEET UG 2018, candidates from general category will be required to score equal to or more than the 50th percentile and those belonging to reserved categories (OBC/SC/ST) will be required to get at least 40th percentile. The counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and seats in all Deemed and Central Universities will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). For admissions to 85% State Quota seats, the respective states will conduct their own counselling. Last year, NEET received 11,38,890 registrations for admissions to approximately 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats on offer. The merit list for 15% All India Quota seats will be declared along with the result. The candidates whose names appear in merit list will be able to participate in the counselling sessions for admissions to the 15% All India Quota seats. The names of only those candidates who meet the required cutoff will be displayed on the NEET merit list. The candidates will be able to check the merit list of NEET 2018 in online mode. Rank letters or scorecards indicating NEET All India Ranks (AIR) will also be issued to all candidates who appear in the exam. 15% All India Quota seats in NEET 2018 are offered by Government medical/dental colleges only. Based on the ranking of the candidates in NEET merit list, the MBBS and BDS seats will be allotted across different institutes. States will also release their separate merit lists for MBBS/BDS admissions to state Government and private colleges.
Syllabus:
The Medical Council of India (MCI) is responsible for determining NEET 2018 syllabus. The syllabus consists of various topics and chapters from Class 11 and Class 12. NEET syllabus has been prepared after the review of various State syllabi as well as those prepared by CBSE, NCERT and COBSE. Candidates will be required to study sections from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

All admissions in the University shall be made strictly on merit as determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Competitive Entrance Examination to be conducted by the University, except the following:
Admissions for B.Tech. Programmes shall be made by the University on the basis of merit of Joint Examination conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. Admissions to Masters programme in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology shall be made through the entrance examination conducted by JNU,New Delhi. Admission to College of Technology is made through Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and subsequent counselling by Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun. Admission to College of Technology in MCA Programme in made through Entrance Exam Conducted by Admission Committee of the University.
