Perfusion Technology focuses on operating heart-lung machines during surgeries. Perfusionists work mostly during surgical procedures.

Cardiac Care Technology deals with diagnosing and monitoring heart conditions in clinical and ICU settings. Cardiac technologists assist in ECG, echo, and non-invasive testing. Both are vital but serve different roles in cardiology care.

Fresh graduates with a BSc in Perfusion Technology typically earn around INR 2.5–4.5 LPA, depending on the hospital, location, and clinical exposure.
With experience and specialization, salaries can go much higher. Top private hospitals, cardiac care centers, and transplant units often offer better packages and growth opportunities.

Students are trained in operating heart-lung machines, managing cardiopulmonary bypass, and reading vital signs during surgeries.
They also learn to handle perfusion circuits, sterilize equipment, understand emergency protocols, and assist in surgical preparations. Clinical training forms a major part of the course, ensuring students are ready to work in high-pressure operating theatre environments.

NEET is not mandatory for most Perfusion Technologyy courses. Admissions are generally based on merit in Class 12 PCB subjects or institute level entrance exams in India.

However, some top private or deemed universities may consider scores in CUET, CET. It's best to check individual college requirements before applying.

A Diploma in Perfusion Technology has a shorter duration than BSc. It usually lasts around 1 to 2 years. It prepares students for entry-level roles in operating theatres and surgical teams. A BSc (degree) is a 3 - 4 year programme that covers theoretical knowledge, lab work & clinical exposure.
