Getting part-time jobs is easy while studying at Northern Virginia Community College. The college provides student services and several facilities like business engagement centers. The Business Engagement & Career Services team creates strategic recruitment plans and engagement opportunities by partnering with employers to help the company connect with the students.

The Guaranteed Interview Program (GIP) conducts initial screening interviews by the employers for current full-time, part-time Time, and Internship openings with students who have completed, or are on track to complete, specific applied degree and non-credit programs at the College throughout the year.

Getting part-time jobs while studying at Northwestern Michigan College is manageable. International students are allowed to work for 20 hours per week during the regular semester and up to 40 hours per week during semester breaks. Students need to notify the International Advisor and apply for the on-campus job opening with a resume and cover letters. Once getting the job ask to submit the offer letter to the Social Security Office to get your Social Security Card. 

Students can find off-campus part-time jobs in retail, food service, tutoring, administrative roles, and childcare. These jobs provide flexible hours that are suitable for students with busy class schedules. Students can earn $15 to $20 per hour depending on the job and employer.  

Getting on-campus part-time jobs while studying at Augustana College is manageable. International students can work a maximum of 20 hours a week. Student employment positions are separated into two pay rates: $10 or $11.25 per hour based on the scope of the position. But to be eligible for on-campus employment, students have to get a Social Security card. Students have to submit the necessary documents and wait for the authorization. Students can find on-campus jobs on an online platform named Handshake. 

Students can also do off-campus jobs. Types of part-time jobs available for students are tutoring, internships, retail positions, food service, babysitting, etc. They can earn between $15 and $20. Students have to manage their time and studies accordingly while working off campus. 

F-1 students are allowed to work on campus while they are enrolled in a full-time course at Lehman College. Students are allowed to work part-time for 20 hours per week during regular full-time semesters and they are allowed to work full-time during the Winter and Summer sessions. 

For off-campus employment, students have to complete at least one academic year of study and obtain authorization from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for certain types of employment, such as Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT). Students who work off school can find employment in retail, restaurants, office assistant, tutoring, and other fields. They are able to make $15 to $20 each hour.
