Punjabi University admission 2023 to various UG, PG and Doctoral programmes is offered on the basis of scores attained in the national level entrance exam or university level entrance exam conducted by the university itself followed by the university counselling. Punjabi University admission to the BTech programme is based on the merit of the All India Rank of JEE Main exam.For the flagship undergraduate course, B. Tech, admission is based on a valid score in JEE Main exam with a 50% aggregate in Class 12. For the remaining courses, admission is granted based on merit scores in the qualifying exams.

Here is the comparison of fees for B.Tech CSE among BITS Pilani, Thapar Patiala and GNDU Amritsar:
BITS Pilani CSE (Computer Science Engineering) fees are Rs 19.19 Lacs for four years. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology fees for B.Tech CSE is Rs 16.56 Lacs for four years. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) offers admission to its B.Tech courses based on JEE Main scores and 10+2 merit. The institute fills 50% of the seats on the basis of JEE Main percentile and remaining 50% seats on the basis of Class 12 percentile. Hostel fees for Engineering Hostels (I. e. Band Singh Bahadur, Mai Bhago Hostel & Bebe Nanki) is INR 920 per month whereas for other Hostels it is INR 420 per month. There are six residential Hostels for boys and seven residential Hostels for girls. The Hostels have all modern amenities for comfortable living for 4000 students.
