It's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your PG in food technology. If it's MTech then it will not be allowed to be offered by distance education since UGC has disallowed distance education mode for all professional courses. However, if it's MSc then you can think of it.

Periyar University has established a Periyar University MBA, Directorate for distance education specifically PERIYAR Institute of Distance Education (PRIDE). And so, all courses are offered as distant education by supplying material online.
