No, CUET UG exam is not mandatory for admission to BA Philosophy courses in government and private colleges of India.
Most of the admissions to undergarduate course in Philopsophy in colleges of India is based on Class 12 merit, but some of the popular colleges in India ask for entrance exam scores for admission.
Most common entrance exams for BA Philosophy admission are CUET UG, SAT India, PUBDET, etc. Students must check the college admission policy before applying.

Aesthetics is not a seperate course and studied under the branch of Philosophy. The admission criteria for Philopsophy course is both merit-based and entrance exam based.
Students must at least secure 50% marks in Class 12 in any stream from a recognised board of India for admission to Philosophy degree. Some popular colleges may also ask for entrance exam scores.
Students are advised to check the complete admission eligibility of the college for Philosophy course before applying.

The eligibility criteria for admission to IGNOU varies for different level courses. Aesthetics can be studied under Philosophy courses at IGNOU in BA, MA, PhD or Diploma course levels.
For BA Philosophy admission, IGNOU requires at least 50% in class 12 from a recognised university of India. For MA Philosophy admission, IGNOU demands a minimum of 50% marks in graduation.

Students can also receive certifications in Philosophy which is provided by many popular colleges in India. Students can choose to study Aesthetics under Philosophy course as full-time, part-time, distance or online learning modes.
