Following are eligibility criteria for B.Sc. at Poornima University:

• Class 12 pass from recognized board.
• Subjects should be Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
• The minimum percentage should be between 50% to 60%.
• The university offers BSc in Environmental Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Hospitality & Hotel Administration, Gaming, and Animation & VFX.

Poornima University seat allotment process for BSc HHA course admission is carried out based on merit in NCHMCT JEE. There are a total of 80 seats for the course in the university. This seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is however, subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

The three-year BSc course is divided into six semesters. There is a list of theory and practical subjects included in each semester. Some of the subjects included in the Poornima University BSc HHA course curriculum are:

• Foundation Course in Food Production
• Hotel Engineering
• Principles of Food Science
• Food Safety and Quality
• Stratergic Management
• Research Project (Sem III/IV, V, and VI), etc.

Poornima University accept NCHMCT JEE cutoff for admission to the BSc HHA course. The students who meet the cutoff criteria are allotted a seat. In 2023, the closing rank for the Hospitality course was 9233, which got better from the last two years, with 9495 in 2022 and 10671 in 2021.

Poornima University can accommodate a significant number of students for B.Tech programs. In the academic year 2021-22, more than 500 students completed their B.Tech/BE, with a placement rate of 88%.

To be eligible for the B.Tech program at Poornima University:

1. candidates must have completed 10+2 in the Science stream with a minimum of 45% marks.
2. Candidates must have appeared for JEE Mains.

The final selection is based on 12th and JEE Mains score in REAP counselling.

For Management Quota, admission is based on PU entrance test scores and 12th-class scores.

Provisional admission will be offered to the candidates on first come basis.

Poornima University has a good record for B. Tech placements. In the 2022 placement drive, approximately 350 companies visited the college and offered over 1600 placements offers. 

The highest package offered was INR 33 LPA, while the average package was INR 17 LPA in 2022. The university has a separate training and placement cell which conducts several skill enhancement programs, mock interviews, industrial visits, and professional certification courses, to help students in getting industry-ready. The top recruiters were Morgan Stanley, Nimai Fintech, Planet Spark, Squad Stack, etc.

Poornima University admission to MCA course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates need to pass BCA/ BSc Computer Science/ BSc IT/ BE CSE/ BTech CSE/ BE IT/ BTech IT or equivalent degree or any graduation preferably with Mathematics at Class 12 level or at graduation level with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category) to apply for the MCA course.After completion of the selection rounds, the shortlisted candidates are called for verification of the documents. Candidates need to pay fee to confirm their seat in the university.
