There is no cutoff score by PULEET, while the merit list is generated using candidates' performance in exams. This merit list will decide the merit-based admissions to the programme at the institution like Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology, and seat allocation depending on available seats and all other eligibility criteria.

Yes, admission to the B.E. / B.Tech course in Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (CCET) is possible without PULEET as the basis for admitting students on the score obtained at the entrance examination-JEE Main. JEE Main can also be taken as an alternative to PULEET for entry into the B.Tech programmes in the college. You can apply for direct lateral entry through the centralized counseling process conducted by the Punjab Government or PTU if you have cleared JEE Main and meet the eligibility criteria. PULEET is for lateral entry only to second-year B.Tech admissions where students are either Diploma holders in engineering

There are 2 section in PULEET syllabus, there are several topics in both sections namely  basic electrical engineering, basic electronics, programming fundamentals, fundamentals of mechanical engineering, fundamentals of civil engineering, fundamentals of chemical engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and general aptitude & communication skills.

Usually, there are two rounds of counseling for the PULEET university The initial seat distribution is done in the first round on the basis of merit, and any seats that remain or preferences that alter are handled in the second round.

The full name of PULEET is Panjab University Lateral Engineering Entrance Test. It is organized by the admission authority of Panjab University, Chandigarh for admission to the second year of four-year Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree.

Only candidates who have passed or are appearing in the qualifying examination for a particular course can apply for the entrance test. Candidate need to pass their qualifying examination, and admission will be on the basis of merit obtained in the Entrance Examination PULEET conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The PULEET exam will be conducted for 100 marks, consisting of multiple-choice questions. There shall be negative marking for the wrong answer. That is, one fourth of the of the marks will be deducted for wrong answers, and for each correct answer, one mark is to be awarded.
