No, GEIMS Pune does not offer direct admission. Candidates have to first apply for the preferred programme and then appear for an online examination conducted by the institute. Admission to General Purpose Rating is merit-based and aspirants do not need to appear for the test. Once selected, candidates are further called for a personal interview round for selection. The final admission is offered based on academic score, test score, medical test and performance of the aspirants in the interview round.

GEIMS Pune admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The institute conducts an online examination for all courses except General Purpose Rating. The selection for GPR is based on the performance of the candidates in the personal interview round and merit in the last qualifying exam. Aspirants applying for Diploma course have to also appear for IMU CET for admission. Selected candidates have to further undergo a medical examination for final selection.

A minimum of 60% aggregate in 12th, along with an attempt for MHTCET or JEE Mains for Graduate programs, is required to get into MIT Pune. Passed HSC exam with more than 50% marks in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and maths (45% marks in case of OBC candidates belonging to Maharashtra). Non-zero marks in MHTCET, too is necessary for Maharashtra State candidates seeking State Quota seats. Out-of-state candidates must possess the same academic standards and should have secured marks more than the cut-off marks in AIEEE.

No, Government College of Engineering and Research, Avasari is not the best in Pune because Many users mentioned that there are no placements or very few placements for Computer Science department. However, some other departments have had placements. Some reviews suggested that there are problems related to living in the village where the college is located.
