UIET Chandigarh offers four-year BE course divided into eight semesters. The institute offers BE in different specialisations. Below is BE eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must pass Class 12 or equivalent with five subjects, namely Hindi, English, Punjabi or any other language and Physics, Mathematics or any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject to apply for UIET BE.
- Aspirants who have completed Class 10 followed by Diploma with Mathematics as compulsory subject can also apply.

Aspirants need to fill out the PULEET application form for BE (Lateral Entry). Aspirants applying for BTech must first fill out the JEE Main application form followed by JAC Counselling. The registration cum counselling fee of JAC Delhi is INR 1,500. The fee can be paid in any of the following ways: By Credit/ Debit Card/Internet Banking through Bill Desk Payment Gateway.

There are a total of 580 seats for BE courses. Out of the total intake, some seats are reserved for various categories. The seat allotment is done based on merit in JEE Main. UIET reserves the right to revise the seat count in an academic year. Below is BE specialisation-wise intake:

As per the UIET Chandigarh, cutoff for Round 4 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BE specialisations ranged from 44170 to 146444. The most competitive specialisation has been Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 44170, followed by Information Technology with 53185 rank.
Analysis of cut offs for previous years for Computer Science and Engineering reveals that, UIET Chandigarh has seen a declining trend compared to 2022. The highest package offered during UIET Chandigarh placements 2023 stood at INR 45 LPA. Earlier, the highest On-Campus and Off-Campus the highest package offered during UIET Chandigarh placements 2022 stood at INR 45 LPA and INR 50 LPA, respectively. Apart from this, the highest On-Campus and Off-Campus the highest package offered during UIET Chandigarh placements 2021 stood at INR 30 LPA and INR 31 LPA, respectively.
