The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at Reva University and R.V. College of Engineering are 2100 and 1300, respectively. While Reva University offers this course in 27 specialisations, R.V. College of Engineering offers the same in 17 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at Reva University due to higher seats.

To gain admission to RVCE Bangalore BTech courses, candidates must have achieved minimum of 60% aggregate in their Class 12 exams or last qualifying exam. For M.Tech courses, applicants must have graduated with at least 50% marks.  The required aggregate depends upon course. For courses where admission is entrance based, a good exam score is required. The total tuition fee for the BTech programme at RV College of Engineering ranges between INR 3.34 Lacs - INR 44 lakh. The median package secured in 2022 was INR 10 LPA whereas the highest package secured after the completion of the BTech programme in 2023 was INR 62 LPA. Considering the total cost of tuition and the package secured this seems to be a great return on the investemnt. This total fee mentioned here is taken from unofficial sources and hence, is indicative.

The seat allocation results for the second round of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) have been issued for RVCE admission to the BE programme. Using the first-round 2023 cutoff from the RV College of Engineering, the closing ranks for all BE specialisations ranged between 242 and 17630. For general category students to pursue specific BTech specialisations, a minimum RVCE KCET cutoff of 200 to 28000 rank might be required. Comparable ranges pertain to ST (2000–60000th rank) and SC (2000–54000th rank).
