Yes, Rabindra Bharati University reserves seats for various categories while admitting students to its BA courses. The seat reservation policies followed by the university are as follows:
- Five seats in each course offered by the Faculty of Arts are reserved for candidates applying for admission under the Sports Quota.
- Reservation of seats for ST/SC/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS/PWD categories will be as per the West Bengal Government rules.
- Reserved category candidates from states other than West Bengal will be treated as unreserved category candidates
- SC/ST/OBC candidates who are shortlisted in the General merit list will also be placed in the Reserved

MA Hons programs in history, political science, Bengali, English, philosophy, Sanskrit, and other subjects are available to students. The deadline for Rabindra Bharati University's PG admission in 2024 is September 3, 2024. Online Provisional Admission process is to be done and necessary course fees must be paid online by the qualified applicants. A voice test and admission exam will be conducted for external students.

For admission to the UG courses at RBU, no entrance exams are required since admissions are merit-based. While for admission to the PG courses, the RBU Entrance Test is required. It is a Multiple Choice exam.
