RRB NTPC

Few general instructions related to RRB NTPC mock test are given below.

• All questions in RRB NTPC are of objective-type
• Four options are given to each question, out of which only one is the correct answer
• There is negative marking for wrong answers, 1/3 marks deducted for wrong answers
• Click on the save and next button after answering every question to save the answers
• Candidates can view the question paper in English, Hindi and other languages
• The instructions and the questions are displayed in the language chosen by candidates from the drop-down language list
• The questions appear on the screen in the selected language
• One question is displayed on the screen at a time
• Time available to complete the examination is displayed through a countdown timer in the top right-hand corner of the screen
• When the timer reaches zero, the test is auto-submitted by the system
• Question number box is displayed on the right side of the screen and shows the status of each question in different symbols

Candidates need to attempt RRB NTPC mock test as per the process given below:

• The questions appear on the screen in serial order such as 1 to 100 and candidates can answer one by one
• To select an answer, click on the button of one of the options
• To deselect the chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click the clear response button
• To change the chosen answer, click the button of the option you want to choose
• To save answers, click on the save and next button
• In case of any doubt with regard to the marked option, candidates can select the ‘Mark for Review & Next button
• To change the answer to a question that has already been answered, first, click on that question and then answer

The cut off of RRB NTPC is released for the following stages:

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBT 1

RRB NTPC CBT 1 cut off is released based on the marks scored in General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The cutoff for CBT 1 is calculated out of 100 marks. 

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBT 2

RRB NTPC CBT 2 cut off is calculated out of 120 marks. Candidates who will secure RRB NTPC Cut off in CBT 2 are shortlisted for document verification, Typing Skill Test/Computer-based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (As per the posts).

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBAT

This stage is conducted for Station Master (SM)/Traffic Assistant (TA) posts. Candidates eight times the number of vacancies based on their performance in CBT 2 are shortlisted for this stage. The qualifying marks prescribed for this stage are 42 which candidates need to secure in each test battery. To shortlist candidates for document verification, the examination authority will fix the cut-off marks for this stage.

RRB NTPC Cut off for Typing Skill Test (TST)

The typing skill test is conducted for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper, Typing Skill Test (TST) posts. To qualify for this stage, candidates need to secure the cutoff marks.

RRB NTPC Cut off  for Document Verification

Candidates are called for document verification based on their performance in CBT 2 and CBAT/TST (as per the posts). The examination authority decides RRB NTPC Cut off marks to call candidates for document verification. Candidates clearing the document verification are called for Medical Fitness Test.

Using RRB NTPC answer key, candidates can calculate the probable score. For calculating the marks, candidates need to follow the marking scheme. For the correct answers, candidates score one mark while 1/3 marks are deducted for wrong answers. Explained below is the process to calculate the tentative score using the answer key.

• Download RRB NTPC answer key that has questions, answer marked candidates and correct answers as well
• For the correct answers, add one mark. If any answer is wrong then deduct 1/3 marks
• Add all the marks for correct answers 
• Add all the marks for incorrect answers
• In the end, deduct total marks for correct answers with the incorrect answers. This will give the probable score
