SNDT Women's University, under which SNDT College operates, is a government university. It is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has 'A' Grade accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Yes, SNDT women's university conduct their entrence exam and SNDT university admission is both merit and entrence based.
SNDT University will start admission on 15 July 2023 (Tentatively) for the 2023-24 session to various UG and PG courses.
For distance education programs, students have to appear in the University Entrance Test (UET) to secure admission in certain UG & PG programs. Candidates have to apply online.

SNDT Women's University, under which S.N.D.T. College of Home Science operates, is one of the first women's universities in India and is renowned for its pioneering efforts in women's education.
SNDT University is mainly and bestly known for several courses that are available and also the teaching technique of teachers, they triy their best to clear the basics of students and they start up from the basics.

The college gives good infrastructure, fast wi-fi all over the campus, 2 libraries with enough space and cool and serene environment, 2 canteens, medical room, mess food is also eatable through those college years, badminton, volleyball and football for girls are quite. It's the first only women university Asia which makes it unique and most preferrable place for those parents who don't want their daughters to fall in boys' traps. It gives you different study material which is very good for studying and increases the depth in subject matter taught.

The hostel fees must be paid every semester. For a four seater room, the hostel fees is 16,800 INR. For a two seater room, the hostel fees is 18,000 INR. The mess fees is 2,500 INR per month. There are leisure facilities such as reading areas, outdoor gaming rooms, guestrooms, wardens' offices, dining halls with mess in every hostel.

- Scheduled Castes (SC): 15% of the seats are reserved for students belonging to Scheduled Castes.
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% of the seats are reserved for students belonging to Scheduled Tribes.
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27% of the seats are reserved for students belonging to Other Backward Classes.
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% of the seats are reserved for students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections.

SNDT Women's university always has the better placements. The highest package offered in this university is 8 LPA in UG 3Years Courses, 11 LPA in 4 Years UG courses. For 1 Year UG courses 3LPA is the highest package offered.
