For admission to B.Tech in S. Veerasamy Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, the eligibility criteria are:
Any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu or Higher Secondary Board
Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination a maximum of two times
For admission to B.Tech, one must have passed 10+2 examination from any board in Science stream. For admission to B.Tech, it is beneficial to have PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) group as core subjects.

SVCET does not give an estimate of when the semester exam results would be declared. Nearly all colleges affiliated to Anna University declare the results of the semester exams about one month after the completion of the semester exams. Since SVCET is an affiliated college of Anna University, expect that it will follow the trend and declare results around that time as well as.
